At Growing Hope Counseling we believe that the client is the expert of them and that a therapist is a compassionate guide to aid the person while they journey. I use a variety of client-focused and trauma-informed approaches to help each person meet their individual goals. These approaches include Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy. My primary focus areas are trauma & PTSD (including religious trauma), relationship & couples issues, and grief.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor®, a registered counselor supervisor in Idaho, an EMDR-trained therapist, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I have also completed the ICEEFT Externship for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and am Level 2, trained in the use of the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy.
